Indigo Shadow: Page Sixteen

She was about to beg her friends not to reveal what had happened to her when she registered what the headline was saying and she grabbed the remote and put the subtitles on. The reporter was apparently saying the same thing — other people were reporting being attacked by people who seemed to be suffering from some sort of neurological symptoms. She even mentioned – albeit sceptically – the fact that people were claiming poltergeist like phenomena had attacked them. Experts thought it was probably falling glass and masonry from the damaged building being interpreted through the lens of confused shock she said.

What had caught Sienna’s attention, however, was that the headline said people had been reporting that men in military uniform had been shooting the attackers. The reporter said that both the government and military had been denying this but several people had indeed been shot and police were searching for the perpetrator and believed it was probably a lone gunman taking advantage of the chaos to settle some grudges.

“Oh come on!” Wendy said from behind her. “Like some random dude just happened to have a gun to hand to take advantage of this mess.” Sienna looked around at her. Wendy looked serious. “Someone knew this was going to happen. I’m not sure how they arranged the meteor but that fog was not natural and I’m sure these shootings are not a coincidence either.” She paused for a moment. “And if these reports are right. I think you’re in danger, Sienna.”
